We cannot believe that we are almost halfway through October and are starting to see the changing of the leaves! As we move towards the Christmas season, we have the amazing opportunity again to provide for and bless families that are undergoing treatment at Levine Children’s Hospital’s Hematology and Oncology clinic. We have been overwhelmed by everyone’s support in the past, and we are hopeful this year to be able to provide even more for the families who are in the midst of extremely difficult circumstances.

With the increased precaution in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the clinic social workers are asking for only gift cards to be given this year. This will allow families to purchase gifts for their family and reduce any stress because of increased spending during the holidays. The financial burden of having a child going through cancer treatment is immense, and it is often felt more acutely in the seasons of life that require extra finances. We desire to provide some moments of joy and relief for these families by meeting real needs for them!

To give families time to shop, the clinic has asked for gift cards by the second week in November. So before you may even begin your own holiday shopping, we would love for you to consider making a purchase for these families. We have started an Amazon wish list with some potential items (here), but we have also included the list suggested by the clinic team below. The Amazon wish list is linked to our mailing address, but if you would like to send something that is not on the wish list, please feel free to email Christie at christiejcraig@gmail.com to get our address. We would like to receive all of the donations by November 1st, but let us know if your purchase will arrive later than that.
