Christmas Giving

 Happy almost Thanksgiving! We cannot believe that we find ourselves nearing the Christmas season again. Our hearts overflow with gratitude that we have been given these days and years with our Ethen. 

As we move toward the Christmas season, we once again have an amazing opportunity to provide for and bless families that are in the midst of treatment at Levine Children's Hospital Hematology and Oncology clinic. 

This year, we will be providing gift cards for the clinic social workers to distribute to families. This will allow families to purchase gifts for their family and reduce the stress of costs around the holidays. Like we have said before, the financial burden of having a child going through cancer treatment is immense, and it is often felt more acutely in the seasons of life that require extra finances (like holidays and birthdays). Our hope is to hep provide some relief to these families and contribute to moments of joy in the midst of difficulty!

Since families will need time to shop, the clinic has asked us to deliver the gift cards by the second week of December. Ethen and Christie will be traveling to Charlotte that week for appointments, so we would like to receive all donations by December 4th. 

We have compiled an Amazon wish list with some potential items (link here), but you may also purchase directly from retail stores or while completing your Thanksgiving grocery shopping. I have put a list of Gift Card location suggestions below. The Amazon wish list is linked to our address, but if you purchase a gift card from a store and need to mail it, please feel free to send an email to Christie at christiejcraig@gmail.com to get our new address.

The social workers have asked that this year gift card donations be given in increments of $25, $50 or $100. If you would like to donate in a different amount (smaller or greater), or if you would prefer to send cash for us to purchase gift cards, you can send directly to Christie's Venmo: @Christina-Baucom.
