Continued Progress

     We've had another mostly happy boy today. He's given some smiles and even a few chuckles (and a courtesy laugh to Daddy). Overall, Ethen has maintained good levels today (though we're still seeking to find a balance in certain areas, e.g., blood pressure). We have continued to wean him from oxygen. Today he was off the oxygen supplement for several hours, but we had to add the supplement back because Ethen's oxygen saturation drops during sleep without it. Ethen has continued to show an interest in eating. He really perks up to the idea of eating when he sees us eating. Tonight Ethen had his first taste of pizza (minus the cheese because of his dairy sensitivity). Pray he continues to show interest in eating and consumes lots of calories in coming days so that his body can prepare for another round of chemotherapy. He may end up needing a feeding tube to ensure he gets enough nutrients; however, we would like avoid that if possible. Pray he can tolerate frequent snacks/meals and that his alimentary canal absorbs all the calories available from the ingested foods.
