A Fair Week and Friday Fun-raising

UPDATE ON ETHEN

Ethen has been feeling delayed effects of the chemotherapy. The melphalan did end up pushing Ethen over his nausea threshold yesterday. He couldn't keep anything down in the morning. We tried giving him his medications through the G-tube, totalling as little as 25 ml, which he gave back to us. At our request, the nurse gave him some anti-nausea medicine to try to help. Combined with a poor night sleep the night before, the meds knocked Ethen out for about three hours. When he awoke, Ethen felt peckish so he crammed some muffin in his mouth. This sort of behavior is representative of the ups and downs of the past couple days (though there has been no more vomitting).
Please continue praying that Ethen's stem cells engraft and begin producing blood cells and platelets. Ethen's cough and runny nose mentioned in a previous post is a normal cold virus; please pray this doesn't worsen or cause infection.
