Quick Turnaround!

Sorry I haven't updated with Ethen's progress. He turned the corner really quickly and I haven't had time to update until now. To sum things up, Ethen began to show signs of improvement Saturday afternoon. An afternoon visit from his siblings piqued his desire to get into things. So rather than remaining supine on the bed, he sat up in Yaya's lap and watched Hudson and Mikayla bounce off the walls. Later on, Ethen rolled over in the bed and sat up.... imagine doing that after your abdomen's been opened up in the same week. The next day Ethen simply needed to demonstrate to the nurses that he was willing to drink water out of his cup. He drank four ounces in two hours, which was enough to procure his freedom from IV fluid and our ticket home.
Ethen is doing well but obviously worn down and in a certain amount of pain (as is expected). He is crawling and getting into things. He even climbed the stairs the other day, but I think this took a toll on his little body and he's been less adventurous since. He's eating reasonably well, but now that we're home he hasn't wanted to drink much. Thankfully he gets 600 ml of fluid overnight every night.
Please pray that Ethen continues to recover well. Pray specifically that he'll drink more water and eat more food.
