Double Date

BALLGAME

Today was a beautiful day in Charlotte. A perfect day to take my oldest boy out to the park for some peanuts and cracker jacks, or a burger (one of Hudson's favorites). Unfortunately the Knights lost. If only the manager had taken the starter out earlier in the fifth (when he should have—he had thrown over 80 pitches before he came out). It's probably a good thing you weren't sitting beside Hudson and me or you would have heard a running commentary on the game. We loved it though. It was a nice chance to get some good time with Huddy.

LUNCH DATE AND TANGLED

While Hudson and I were away, Christie got to spend some quality time with Mikayla over a tasty lunch at Panera. Mikayla is a bundle of joy. Don't get me wrong, she's got some sass, but she is so sweet and kind to people. She lit up faces throughout the hospital with her precocious conversations and her Anna princess dress (which she has worn for 15 of the last 20 days, or so). Back in the room with Ethen, Mikayla watched Tangled with Christie, Yaya, and Mimi.

ETHEN AND CHEMOTHERAPY

Ethen has handled this round of chemotherapy well so far. He's actually been relatively playful and sprightly. However, we know that chemo is poison and that harder days are coming for Ethen in this round of therapy. Please pray with us that the chemo kills off the cancer. Pray that Ethen has a good appetite for as long as possible so he gets as many calories as possible. Unfortunately the plans for the gastric tube were delayed because of the doctor's uncertainty of the success of the procedure owing to the size of the tumor in the last CT images. In short, the doctor thought the tumor or liver might be in the way—to nick the tumor or liver would be bad.

4TH ANNUAL FIT FROG FAIR

This Saturday, May 6th at 3 pm Acrofitness and SweetFrog Mooresville will be hosting the 4th annual Fit Frog Fair in the parking lot in front of SweetFrog Mooresville (across from Walmart). On top of it being an opportunity to see some awesome performances and eat tasty yogurt, a percentage of all of the proceeds from yogurt sales will be donated to Ethen's fight against neuroblastoma. We would love to invite you and your family and friends to join this event if you're in the area!
